Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc Bottle

Sauvignon Blanc is a favorite of ours at R.H. Phillips, in part because it’s the first variety we night-harvested back in 1983 and the first wine we released with “Night Harvest” on the label. We also like it because it makes one of the world’s finest and most versatile white wines. Our Night Harvest Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and zesty, with vibrant citrus, green melon and cut grass aromas and crisp, mouthwatering, melon and tangerine flavors. To accentuate its fresh, bright fruit, we ferment our Sauvignon Blanc entirely in stainless steel tanks with no oak aging and bottle it within six months of the harvest.

Recipe Pairing Suggestion

We recommend pairing this refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with everything from Barbecued Oysters with Cilantro to sushi, Cobb and Caesar salads, broiled and fried trout and snapper, herb-roasted chicken, pesto pasta, white pizzas and goat cheeses.

Current Reviews

"R.H. Phillips marketed its 'Night Harvest' method of picking grapes as far back as 1984, touting the fresher acidity and flavors from wines picked at night compared to grapes picked in the heat of day. This Sauvignon Blanc is distinctive for the big-time grassy, grapefruity flavors that hang on the back of the palate and follow through to the finish. The flavors carry the wine, it doesn't need oak or more acidity or another wine blended in. It's a super wine to serve with simple cheese and crackers, broiled seafood or a pasta with marinara sauce."
